Technical competence

Application-oriented advice, customised solutions, efficient production, and on-site technical support – customer satisfaction is a top priority for the Meyer Seals® team.

Application engineering & on-site technical support

Our fully equipped application engineering lab and a team of experts from a range of different fields of expertise form the basis for the highest technical service quality.

Supported by measuring and testing technology from market-leading manufacturers and equipped with the latest sealing and induction technology, we simulate processes on site in close consultation with our customers around the world and deliver substantiated solution proposals for every application case. Our technical service team stands at our customers' side during realisation.

Measuring, testing, closing, sealing – every possibility:

  • Induction sealing liners from all well-known manufacturers
  • Tensile / compression machines to determine compound adhesion and compression properties
  • Torque testers for determining sealing and opening torques
  • Pressure testers
  • Sliding value measuring devices for determining surface properties
  • Non-contact 3D measuring method
  • Densometer for determining membrane porosity (Gurley instrument)
  • IR spectrometry
  • DSC (Differential Scanning Calorimetry)
  • Optical and 3D microscopy
  • Wine lab with commercially available capping machines for fitting aluminium screw caps and the measurement of oxygen permeability (OTR = Oxygen Transmission Rate)

Closed-loop production

Closed-loop production Punching and cutting Lamination Foam extrusion

Foam extrusion

We produce polyethylene and polypropylene foams of various densities and thicknesses in the highest quality within the framework of a continuous 24h process. These foams are used, both unlaminated and laminated, under the brand name ALKOzell™ as pre-cut discs, as rings or on reels in all areas of the filling industry.

Lamination

The customer's requirements and area of application determine the material combination and lamination process. Meyer Seals® masters all common processes to permanently or temporarily seal a wide variety of materials.

Punching and cutting

Loosely poured, packed in a tube, or as reeled goods - we satisfy all quality requirements with specially developed high-performance punching and cutting technology.

Closed-loop production

Through closed production and recycling loops, we keep the consumption of valuable resources to a minimum.

Quality and efficiency

All quality-relevant process data are continuously visualised, recorded via a machine data acquisition (MDA) and production data acquisition (PDA) system, and analysed with the aim of continuously improving quality and conserving resources. The certification of our management system according to the standards DIN EN ISO 9001, BRCGS Packaging (Brand Reputation Compliance Global Standards for Packaging Materials) and EMAS (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme) underline the high demands we place on the quality of our products and services.
