Meyer Seals® The SEALutions Company is one of the world's largest manufacturers of sealing liners and the market leader in Europe. Since 1879, Meyer Seals® has been developing and producing sealing elements for the packaging industry. We produce more than 20 billion sealing liners a year and deliver to customers in over 100 countries on all continents.

Our sealing liners are a key component in packaging. They protect container contents from tampering and preserve valuable filling substances and active ingredients. They seal securely and prevent leaks. They enable safely and convenient withdrawal of contents from containers by the consumer. They are a valued means of communication between brand owners and consumers.

The Meyer Seals® portfolio includes four product families that meet the wide-ranging demands of the filling industry, worldwide, every day.

Pressure Family

Pressure Family

Embedded in the cap, this type of liner provides durable and reliable sealing of the container orifice after the cap is screwed or rolled on. Our ALKOzell™ foam’s elasticity and shape recovery ensure secure contact pressure during transport and storage, and after reclosure. They also compensate for small imperfections in the surface of the container orifice.

Induction Family

Induction Family

This type of liner is supplied with an inductive sealing layer. The liner is embedded in the cap. After the cap is screwed on to the filled container, the sealing layer in the liner is contactlessly activated on passing through the induction sealing unit (controlled magnetic field). Specifically matched to the container material, the heat-seal layer fuses to the mouth of the container and hermetically seals the container.

Glue Family

Glue Family

After a container is filled, glue is applied to the surface of the container orifice, and the cap with embedded sealing liner is then screwed on. Once dry, the glue forms a solid bond with the sealing liner, so that the seal can provide full protection to the container contents.

Technical

Technical

Equipped with a special membrane, the ALKOvent™ family allows bidirectional gas exchange between container interiors and their surroundings. The membrane also offers reliable fluid-tightness. This prevents pressure differences from deforming the container.
