Since May 1, I have been working as Head of Development, Quality Management, and Quality Assurance at Meyer Seals. After completing my degree in chemistry at the Technical University of Berlin, my career path initially led me into scientific research. As a research assistant at the University of Potsdam and later at the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences, I focused intensively on polymer chemistry and, as part of this research, completed my Ph.D. in polymer chemistry. What I always found particularly exciting was the combination of scientific depth, analytical work, and the opportunity to develop new solutions and technologies. By moving into industry, I wanted to more closely integrate this scientific experience with practical challenges. This path first led me to [on] line laminating + technology center, where, as Quality and Assurance Manager, I was responsible, among other things, for establishing and further developing quality and hygiene management systems. At the same time, I was able to gain deeper insights into laminating and coating technology and further expand my experience in the field of quality management and quality assurance.

I then moved to Heyne & Penke Verpackungen. There, I initially served as Manager and later as Head of Application Engineering, R&D, and Laboratory. During this time, I was able to further deepen my expertise in research and development, application engineering, and laboratory work, and collaborate with my teams on innovative packaging solutions and new technologies.

My move to Sappi, a manufacturer of specialty papers, was a deliberate choice to gain experience in an international corporate environment and explore new perspectives. I joined the company as Manager of Technology & Development and a member of the Management Board. In this role, I was responsible for process and quality management, as well as quality control and quality assurance in the area of paper manufacturing. In addition, my focus was on providing technical support for production processes, particularly with regard to cost and quality optimization, as well as customer-specific product adaptations.

Later on, I took on the role of Manager Paper Converting Business, with overall responsibility for the paper coating division focused on the development and production of innovative barrier papers. In addition to technological advancements, the primary focus was on fostering collaboration across different business units and successfully implementing innovative product solutions.

At the same time, this period showed me how important short decision-making paths, close personal interaction, and a collaborative corporate culture are to me. It is precisely this combination that I have found again at Meyer Seals. I particularly appreciate the strong team spirit, the family-like corporate culture, and the open-mindedness toward new ideas and innovative solutions. For me, it is precisely this combination that makes Meyer Seals a special company.
